Unpacking BaggageJust going through my luggage, clearing out some things to make way for enlightenment Tuesday, February 14, 2006Happy Valentine's Day and Welcome to Maryland! With all the running around and starting a new job, I haven't had the chance to run and get a Valentine's Day gift. I did get a card, but I haven't got a cute stuffed animal or a bouquet of wilted roses and I feel a little bad about it. I had big ideas but moving to another state last weekend really took its toll. That's my story and I'm sticking to it! The real truth is that I can't think of anything to buy that adequately expresses my love. The flowers and candy hearts fall significantly short. Dinner reservations are always impossible to get and I really don't want to be around other people anyway. I think what will happen is I'll either cook or get some take out... light a fire... pop open a bottle of wine and do the whole cuddle thing in front of the fire. Keeping it real simple. Enjoy the special people in your life and however you choose to celebrate... remember that how you act on February 14 shouldn't be radically different from the way you did on February 13 or the way you will on February 15. Happy Valentine's Day!
